• Ordinance [Currency, No. 1] on the legal tender for Pitcairn and the establishment of a Commissioner of Currency (held by the governor "ex officio" unless appointed differently); effective immediately:
  - New Zealand currency notes and coins
  - Pitcairn coins denominated in Dollar and Cent (equal in value to the New Zealand Dollar) as approved by the Commissioner
  - 1988-1990: Issuance of commemorative coins under this ordinance.
