The language of money is contained in three parts.
(1) Etymology of Currency and Coin Names
Etymology investigates the origin of names by tracing back in time potential changes in meaning or their borrowing from other languages. Currency names make no difference, they also have an origin and are subject to re-interpretations or linguistic migrations.
The documentation of the intricacies of counting for the various languages comprises:
- Numerals and numbers (1 - 10 and above)
- Grammar of counting (adaptations of the number to the counted noun and of the counted noun to the number)
- Flexion of monetary unit names (with explicit rendering of the flexed forms, if useful).
The individual languages can be accessed here:

(3) Representation of Authority
The language of representing authority, in terms of names of states, rulers or financial institutes is documented as part of the monetary history of the different countries, see section "(3) Identification". Continue to Monetary History
