- The first collectors' coins were issued in 1993, but no circulation coins.

- Law [Bank of Nauru Act, No. 17] on the establishment of a state-owned commercial bank; effective 01.10.1976

- Law [Currency Act, No. 7] on the adoption of the Nauruan Dollar as national currency; effective immediately but not implemented
- 15.04.2011: Revocation of the currency act in the course of a wider revision of the legislation [Statute Law Revision Act, No. 8].

- Law [Bank of Nauru (Central Banking) Act, No. 6] on the central bank role of the Bank of Nauru, including the authority to issue the Nauruan currency; effective immediately but not implemented
- The act has never been revoked but became void after the revocation of the Currency Act on 15.04.2011)
