• Issuance of French Equatorial African paper money for use in Saint-Pierre & Miquelon by the issuing institutes of the French government-in-exile:
  - around 1943: Paper money of the "Central Bank of Free France" (founded by ordinance of 02.12.1941) with dedicated serial numbers but no mention of the colony's name
  - around 1945: Paper money of the "Central Bank of French Overseas" (founded by ordinance of 02.02.1944) with dedicated serial numbers but no mention of the colony's name.

• Ordinance [No. 45-0136] on the creation of two colonial currencies for Africa ("Franc des colonies françaises d'Afrique - Franc C.F.A.") and the Pacific ("Franc des colonies françaises du Pacific - Franc C.F.P.") and on their valuation against the French Franc; effective immediately
  - The money circulating in Saint-Pierre and Miquelon got rated on par with the Franc CFA.
