  • Congolese ordinance [No. 3] on the revocation of the Katangese Central Bank Law of 09.01.1960; effective immediately:
    - Liabilities in Katangese Franc were redenominated with immediate effect at a rate 1 Katangese Franc = 1 Congolese Franc (1960)
    - The National Bank of Katanga was dissolved and put under administration of the Congolese Monetary Council in South Katanga province
    - Katangese banknotes remained accepted for payment (but were not re-issued when received).
