• Start of currency exchange:
  - during 1960: Start of issuance of provisional banknotes of 50, 20, 10, 5 Francs made of notes of the Currency Bank of Rwanda and Burundi with overprint "Government of Katanga".
  - 09.01.1961: Start of issuance of regular banknotes (date 31.10.1960); subsidiary coins followed during 1961
  - 26.01.1961: Demonetization of the Congolese currency.

• Congolese ordinance [No. 3] on the revocation of the Katangese Central Bank Law of 09.01.1960; effective immediately:
  - Liabilities in Katangese Franc were redenominated with immediate effect at a rate 1 Katangese Franc = 1 Congolese Franc (1960)
  - The National Bank of Katanga was dissolved and put under administration of the Congolese Monetary Council in South Katanga province
  - Katangese banknotes remained accepted for payment (but were not re-issued when received).

• Congolese ordinance [No. 11] on the implementation of the currency re-integration; effective immediately
  - 05.02.1963: Start of withdrawal of Katangese banknotes of 1000, 500 Francs (lower denominations to follow later)
