• The US-based publisher Scott Newhall produced souvenir coins for the "Republic of Anguilla": he had 11,600 (mainly Mexican) thaler-sized silver coins overstamped with the words "Liberty Dollar"; the provisional Anguilla Island Council authorised the mintings and subsequently tried to sell the coins to collectors
• 1969-1970
• Issuance of collector coins at 20, 10, 5 Dollars (gold) and 4, 2, 1, ½ Dollars (silver)

• Anguilla joins the Eastern Caribbean Central Bank Agreement
