Grammar of Counting
- Adaptation of the Number to the Counted Noun
- Numbers are unchangeable. Beside the main number series of Malay origin there is a colloquial series derived from Spanish.
- Adaptation of the Counted Noun to the Number
- All numbers are followed by the noun in singular. Number and noun are connected by the possessive particle "ng", which may fuse with the number, e.g. "isang" out of "isa + ng".
- Comments on the Grammar
- Flexion is done by particles, plural is indicated by "mga".
